Full Ceramic Protection Area

Unlike some lightweight plates that use wide foam borders to reduce their published weight, this plate is designed with an extensive active ceramic area. Its edge-to-edge construction provides greater protective coverage across the plate, including areas close to the outer edges. This maximises the usable ballistic protection area and reduces the amount of unprotected foam-only space.

Durable Construction for Demanding Conditions

A protective foam layer surrounds the ceramic strike face to help protect it against accidental impacts and drops during transport and handling.

The plate is enclosed in a heat-sealed, water-resistant Cordura cover that protects the internal materials from:

Water and moisture
Oil
Dirt
Common operational fluids
General wear during storage and use

Affordable Level IV Protection

The plate uses Al₂O₃ aluminium oxide ceramic, a proven and durable ceramic material commonly used in ballistic armor. Aluminium oxide is heavier than premium ceramics such as silicon carbide or boron carbide, but it enables reliable Level IV protection at a significantly lower price. The result is a robust and cost-effective plate suited for training, professional use, emergency equipment, vehicle kits and personal protective equipment where maximum weight reduction is not the primary requirement.
