This is a two-day competition – 4 stages are on Thursday 16.6. and 4 stages on Friday 17.6.2022.

How do I get there?

If you are arriving to Slovenia by plane, you will probably land at Letališče Brnik. You can also check other airports in the region (like Zagreb in Croatia or Trieste in Italy), but expect a little more trouble, since you will need to cross a border again by car.

Your best choice is to rent a car to get to the range. https://www.agio.si/   https://renty.si/

Arriving by car:

Just drive there! Slovenia is a beautiful small country and you can drive across Slovenia in about 2,5 hours. You will get from the airport in Brnik to the Lynx Training center is about 1,5 hours.

Bringing your guns:

If you are from a country in EU, it is as simple as having the “EU firearm pass” from your local administration office and printing this invitation. If you are not from EU, you might have to “import” the guns to Slovenia – check your local gun laws what they say about traveling abroad. In Slovenia, you will have to declare you are traveling with weapons, and will have to show the invitation to proof a valid reason.

You need to send us (via E-mail) info about you and guns you are bringing:

Registration:

On the day of the event, you will have to check in at the registration table at 08:00 sharp, you will need to show your ID and your firearm license.

You have two options – sleeping a hotel/hostel or camping. Here is a list of places to stay:

Food:

There will be a food truck on the range, so you won’t be hungry or thirsty, but we still recommend you to bring some water.

Gear&ammo:

Bring your own gear & ammo. You will need a pistol, a shooting belt, a sturdy holster, mag carriers, a sling and a rifle. Don’t forget on ear&eye protection!

Slovenia gets hot in the summer. We recommend you having a cap or a boonie hat – something to protect your head from the sun. Consider wearing long sleeved shirt and long pants. Knee protectors will come in handy. In case there is bad weather – have something waterproof to cover yourself – like a rain poncho or similar.

Brief history of brutality matches:

The 2 Gun Action Challenge Matches held in Tucson, Arizona are where the DNA of Brutality Matches began.  InRangeTV’s Karl Kasarda has been running this match format since 2009.  Karl’s stage design philosophy emphasizes shooting under physical duress in field conditions from often awkward positions.  Unlike other action shooting sports, there is little to no memorization of stages/targets required. What is required is ability to perform marksmanship tasks while completing physical challenges and being varying degrees of fatigued/uncomfortable.

After almost a decade of running club level 2GACM events, the first Desert Brutality was held in 2018. This event effectively became 2GACM Nationals. Later in 2018 the Brutality format became an international event with the first Finnish Brutality.

The demand for this match format continually increased following the 2018 events and InRangeTV’s coverage of these events.  In 2019 Russell Phagan, aka SinistralRifleman, joined the Brutality management team bringing decades of match experience to handle the admin and logistics side of these events.
