For safer carry, the EDC29 includes a Sensor Protection function that automatically reduces brightness if the light is accidentally activated in High mode, helping prevent overheating in enclosed spaces. This protection feature is active only during accidental activation and does not interfere with normal operation.

The built-in USB-C charging port allows convenient charging, with a full recharge completed in just over one hour. On its lowest setting, the flashlight can run for up to 61 hours, making it suitable not only for high-output use but also for extended runtime when needed.

To reduce accidental activation in a pocket or bag, the EDC29 includes two lockout modes: Semi Lockout and Full Lockout. In Semi Lockout, users can still access Floodlight, Spotlight, or Strobe, while Full Lockout completely disables the light for secure storage and transport.
