AK Master Mount™ side rail | Gen 3

AK Master mount is a rock solid mount, precision machined from steel that attaches to your rifle by using two special screws that replace trigger pins in your AK rifle. The installation is simple and doesn't require drilling or any other permanent modification of your rifle. is parallel to the barrel bore and the dovetail surface runs the entire surface of the rail to maximize the clamping surface area for optic mounts, unlike most factory/combloc styled side rails. Back side of the mount is coated with rubberized material that helps to hold it in place when installed and it also protects your received from scratches.
Another added bonus of this design is, that the internal shepherds crook retaining wire is no longer needed to secure the hammer and trigger assemblies. Instead the proprietary pins retain the fire control group better than any crook or plate can. Leaving no possibility of trigger or hammer pins walking out.

Works with most stamped or milled AK type rifles. Installed rail may interfere with a tight Krebs Custom safety lever, other safety levers should work fine.
The mount will fit on rifles with underfolding stock but some side optic mounts won't be able to attach to it because they won't be able to clear the button and mounting hardware for the buttstock

NEW Gen. 3 version is still made of steel, but approximately 50% lighter than the Gen 2 side rail by trimming away unneeded metal.  It has been modeled after a traditional AK 74 factory side rail to improve its aesthetics, plus making it compatible with triangle folder stocks.
